Colour wash

When it came to editing our video we decided to incorporate another key and popular r&b theme which is the use of washed out colouring in the music video , we had originally planned to have a black and white video but after some more research we have found the use of washed out colour is much more popular .This effect can be seen in the miss me video by Drake.

The pictures above are r&b advertisements that we have analysed and will use themes in our final media product . there are several recurring themes in all of these advertisements that we will use ion our final product. Firstly there is a big emphasis on the individual artist with all of the adverts showing large and easily identifiable images of the artists . The idea of identification is key and is also evident in the choice of which are all very bold and in some cases are easily recognisable as the artists logo , The album name is much smaller than the artists name and this shows that the artists image is more important than the product being sold , The overall appearance of the artists is often quite masculine and the fact that the artist named
"tynchy stryder" is not looking at the camera displays arrogance and confidence which is a look we are keen to develop . This theme of masculinity is taken developed further in song names with Jessie J song do it like a dude .
